I am writing this to strongly warn the community: DO NOT BUY this TransmissionBT 4 package. It is completely broken and a waste of money.

Here is why it is unusable:

  1. Settings are NOT persistent: The app suffers from "amnesia." Every single time the app or the NAS restarts, all configurations are lost. It reverts to factory defaults every time.
  2. Digital Cage / Locked Permissions: You cannot fix this manually because the settings.json file is locked with 0600 permissions. Even as an admin user via SSH/WinSCP, I get "Permission Denied" when trying to edit or even copy the file.
  3. Impossible to bypass: Since the system overrides any permission changes (0777 is refused), there is no way to bypass this flaw. You cannot set a custom download directory (it always resets to /share/Public), and you cannot automate anything.
This is a paid product, yet it prevents the owner from managing their own configuration. It is a major failure in software design. It is not worth the price, as it requires constant manual intervention after every reboot.

Please fix this fundamental flaw or stop selling this package in this state.

Hi, I mean, do I need puchase and install the individual Apache85 package first, and after the transmissionbt-4-apache85 package?
I tried to install only the Transmission package, but it is not worked correctly. I uninstalled it, but now, it has an install/setup issue. It can not start, just it try to download the Apache85 setup/install package from the cloud server, and it can not found it.

I think Transmission (stand-alone) will be abandoned; it's easier to use Apache85 for dependency updates and general updates of TransmissionBT.
The package is also lighter with Apache8x versions

Apache85 version: need Apache85 to be installed on NAS; it link the libs from Apache85 directory to TransmissionBT binaries
