Unfortunately on qts 5 qnap 231p3 it works but after a bit crasha and I have to reactivate it by hand ....

Latest version in myqnap.org repo is 1.102.4.0, but after upgrade doesn't update version number.
From ssh it shows:

[/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg] # tailscale version
1.96.2
tailscale commit: d916d86519b58d788ca175124feef93115c398d3
long version: 1.96.2-td916d8651-gd905b0868
other commit: d905b086818c463956e4d677b10a0a1558fbdd2d

Are you trying to update from qmanager app?
It's probably not updating at all.
When looking in logs I saw error below.

I needed to login to the full desktop. And then when I clicked update I got warning about no signature. After clicking okay the installation succeeded.

I think qmanager has bug that doesn't prompt for this which is still needed even if enabled installation without signature in the app store.

"Error 2026-10-25 11:07:59 NASAadmin 192.168.1.21 Qmanager Qmanager/2.29.0.0831 (Android 17, Google Pixel 11 Pro) App Center App Installation [App Center] Failed to install jellyfin. Failed to find the application on the cloud server. Ensure the application name and version are correct."

Best of luck
Chris

Installation was from https://www.myqnap.org/repo.xml using the standard web browser login (full desktop?), not qmanager.
I've added this repo to appcenter and originally installed 1.96.2 from there.
An upgrade became available recently to 1.102.4.0 which I upgraded over the 1.96.2 installation.
There were no errors shown during the upgrade. Tailscale continues to function, but shows no indication of having been upgraded, even though appcenter shows the new version - 1.102.4.0

Sorry if I misunderstood but I read your previous post that update didn't show version number. Which is exactly what happened to mine when updated from qmanager, which failed to install without giving any errors in qmanager. Only when updated from the QNAP admin console did errors appear.

But looking forward, what does your tailscale web admin console say?

Mine lists Tailscale version 1.104.2 when I select to view the NAS settings.

If you are "ChrisS" reporting that concern on the repo it sounds to me like maybe the update didn't happen.

No problems - and thanks for your assistance and experiences!
Yes, ChrisS is me. The admin console shows 1.96.2 as well, so I think you are right - the upgrade didn't happen, even thought the upgrade went exactly as expected in appcenter.
I will have to do some more research on why this has not worked. I may uninstall the Qoolbox version, clean out any leftover files and sideload from github instead.

Did you get a prompt to allow install of unsigned package?
In my QNAP app store there's a ... Symbol in top right and then have to enable that.
That was on for earlier install but for me something was wrong.
So I toggle off and then on again.
Then when I clicked upgrade again the app store finally prompted me to allow unsigned, which I agreed. And then the install proceeded.

But to be clear I was seeing non critical errors in my logging until I did that. But it might be worth you trying to turn that setting off and on again too.

Cheers
Chris
