Changelog
Code:
0.9-update22 (December 15th 2016)
stability fixes to address some corner cases
0.9-update21 (November 30th 2016)
do not transcode h265 (hevc) video on Chromecast Ultra and Nvidia shield as both support it natively (requires playback initiated with Android BubbleUPnP 2.8.3.1+)
fixed Chromecast handling of HLS (m3u8) streams with aac audio not working with recent versions of ffmpeg. These streams are frequent for IPTV
fixed failure to seek in transcoded Google Drive videos played to Chromecast
possibly fixed some unwanted DLNA/OH Chromecast disconnections when BubbleUPnP Server is running on slower devices (ARM)
fixed lossless TIDAL/Qobuz playback bot working on some renderers using LPCM (LG TV)
updated web server to Jetty 7.6.21
0.9-update20 (August 27th 2016)
fixed playing to a Chromecast Audio group (as a DLNA or OpenHome renderer) not working properly. So now Chromecast Audio based multiroom audio playback is possible, using your favorite UPnP AV or OpenHome Control point
Chromecast v1 and v2 transcoding: 24 bit WAV is not transcoded anymore to 16 bit WAV as the latest Chromecast firmware fixes 24 bit WAV playback. Also, 24 bit audio requiring transcoding (such as ALAC or AIFF) is now transcoded to 24 bit WAV instead of 16 bit
Chromecast transcoding: fixed rare case where audio bitdepth was not detected correctly
Image transcoding: use faster image resizing (thus lower quality) algorithm on non-x86 platforms (typically: ARM)
About :
BubbleUPnP Server provides new services, many of them running on top of your existing UPnP/DLNA devices:
make various media formats not natively supported by Chromecast playable with transcoding. Works in tandem with Android BubbleUPnP
secure Internet access to your UPnP/DLNA Media Servers content with Android BubbleUPnP and foobar2000.
stream and download your music, video, photos with your Android device from a mobile or WiFi connection with optional transcoding to reduce bandwidth.
no need to sync, to upload to the cloud, to register to an online service
create OpenHome Media Renderers from any UPnP AV or Google Cast renderer (provides on-device playlist, multiple Control Point access to the same renderer)
create an UPnP/DLNA renderer from any Google Cast device
fix issues of UPnP/DLNA Media Servers (discovery issues, broken data, add some audio DLNA compliance) by creating a proxy Media Server
access your UPnP/DLNA Media Servers across different networks
BUBBLEUPNP SERVER IS NOT AN UPNP AV MEDIA SERVER.
Unless BubbleUPnP Server is used only for use with Chromecast, it requires at least one working UPnP AV Media Server or Media Renderer to do something useful.
