Please, need help from experts on QNAP and Unifi! :)

I'm fighting to run Unifi 5.8.28.0 with QJDK8 1.8.172 at QNAP TS-228A (4.3.3.0695 build 20180830) with no success!

1/ I've first installed QJDK8
2/ follow by Unifi
3/ and when I open Unifi app (http://10.0.0.247:38190) got "failed to open page" error message

I'm new to QNAP world, please let me know what am I doing wrong.

Thanks in advance!
it can take longer to run on ARMv8... you need be patient before Unify complete first launch
Thanks for the quick response!
ok, will keep monitoring!

QoolBox a écrit :think you need to backup your setting before update it

i dont use it so dont know where are stored those file, to keep it untouched on update

I supposed in /conf within .qpkg/UniFi directory but not sure... if you can confirm i can probably tweak the installer
Browsing files in my NAS, it looks like data is stored in <unifi_base>/data/

Image

backup: store manual backups and auto backups
db: seems to store all configuration data.
Image

sites: stores uploaded maps and some sites advanced settings.

Upgrade seems to wipe the db content, and that is why you need to restore.
I can further test.

Hope this makes sense and helps.

tried many solution to fix upgrade... but i dont find the correct solution... each time UUID seems to change on updated and data directory rewritten

i am really not sure this application can be updated correctly without a reconfiguration

Thank you for taking time to test.
Strange thing is that updating in Windows or Mac retain settings.
I have not tested the Linux version to confirm.

Hi,

when I was updating I have removed all version of controller with backup configuration files (I had autobackup feature enabled). Is it possible to some how retrieve them after removing the app?

Kind regards,
Remi
