Security Updates

  • Fixed the security issues CVE-2022-37966, CVE-2022-37967, CVE-2022-38023, and CVE-2022-45141.
  • Applied multiple security updates to further enhance system security.

Fixed Issues

  • Fixed an issue in File Station where a user's read and write permissions for certain folders did not match what was expected.
  • Fixed an issue where users could not restore the "homes" folder from a snapshot.
  • Fixed an error message that incorrectly told the user to create a new storage pool instead of enable the "home" folder when users tried to add an SSH key while the "home" folder was disabled.
  • Fixed an issue in QuLog Center where under certain conditions users would encounter a service exception error message on the Access Log page.
  • Resolved an issue where the system occasionally did not deliver event logs for disk I/O errors.
  • Fixed an issue where the Overview page in myQNAPcloud would display incorrect date and time information after users set the date and time format to DD/MM/YYYY.
  • Fixed an issue where users could not move transcoded video files from the @Transcode folder to a different shared folder.
  • Fixed an issue in Control Panel where adding a user that already existed in a shared folder's ACL would create a new entry instead of update the existing entry.
  • Resolved an issue where users could not change the read/write permissions of an existing LUN masking policy for an iSCSI LUN.
  • Fixed an issue where after enabling trusted domains for a NAS added to an Active Directory domain, when a user tried to add users to the Combined Permissions list of a shared folder, Control Panel would fail to display the available users and groups.
  • Resolved an issue where the domain controller would become disabled after restarting the NAS.
  • Fixed an issue in Control Panel where when trying to add users to the Windows Special Permissions ACL for a shared folder, the search field would become disabled after searching a non-existent user.
  • Resolved an issue where users could not search NAS portal folders in Windows File Explorer.
  • Fixed an issue in the Edit Shared Folder Permissions window in Control Panel, where after searching and thereby filtering the Combined Permissions user list, and then immediately adding a new user, the users that were filtered out would be permanently removed from the list.
  • Fixed an issue in the Edit LUN Mapping window in iSCSI & Fibre Channel, where changing the display language could cause the contents to become truncated at the bottom of the window.
  • Fixed an issue where after upgrading QuTS hero from h4.5.x to h5.x, expanding a thick LUN would cause the LUN to expand twice and the LUN size could not be reduced afterward.
  • Fixed an issue where users could not connect to the destination NAS when creating a SnapSync job if the source NAS was in an Active Directory domain but the destination NAS was not.
  • Fixed an issue where when trying to modify the size of a LUN, clicking "Set to Max" twice would cause the displayed maximum LUN size to exceed the storage pool size.
  • Fixed an issue where the system did not successfully disable "Do not allow QTS embedding in IFrames" after users had deselected the setting and applied the change in Control Panel > System > General Settings > System Administration.
  • Fixed an issue where the NAS could not detect disks on a TL-D400S JBOD enclosure after installing the QXG-10G2TB expansion card in PCIe slot 1 on the NAS.
  • Resolved an issue where under certain circumstances creating a shared folder would take a long time.
  • Fixed an issue where after changing the system port in Control Panel > System > General Settings > System Administration, the NAS IP address would fail to redirect to the updated system port.
  • Fixed an issue where after the user removed the disks of storage pool 1, and then moved the disks of storage pool 2 to the original disk slots of storage pool 1, removing storage pool 1 in Storage & Snapshots would cause storage pool 2 to enter Error status.
  • Fixed an issue where if during shared folder creation the shared folder's path was entered manually, virus files that were later found in the shared folder and sent to quarantine would fail to appear in Control Panel > Applications > Antivirus > Quarantine.
  • Fixed an issue in File Station where users could not download files from a storage pool in read/delete mode.
  • Improved the WORM mechanism.
  • Fixed an issue in Qsirch where users could not search NAS files in Finder in macOS Ventura.
  • Fixed an issue where users could not join a Windows device to the NAS domain controller after updating Windows 10 to KB5028166.
  • Fixed an issue where users could not fully delete a shared folder if the shared folder contained a very large number of files.
  • Fixed an issue in File Station where folders would be incorrectly sorted if one or more of the folder names included certain special characters.
  • Resolved an issue where after configuring port trunking, the NAS icon image in Network & Virtual Switch > Overview would not accurately reflect the new port statuses.
  • Resolved an issue in HBS 3 where under certain circumstances some files would be fully backed up or synced again even though there had been no changes to those files since the last backup or sync.
  • Resolved an issue in Storage & Snapshots where the Migrate RAID Group function was unexpectedly disabled if the storage pool consisted of an SSD installed via the QDA-U2MP adapter.
  • Fixed an issue where occasionally users could not successfully execute certain commands in Ubuntu on a NAS folder mounted via NFSv3.

Known Issues

  • After users edit LUN settings and run a Snapshot Replica job, the destination NAS cannot correctly display LUN information in Snapshot Vault.
  • Storage & Snapshots and iSCSI & Fibre Channel sometimes display different sizes of the same LUN after users revert a LUN by importing a snapshot.
